GSU Head Men's and Women's Indoor Track Coach John Niendorf comments on his teams at the CCAC meet.

"I am eager to see how both our men's and women's track and field teams compete this weekend. Conference is over a two-day period Friday and Saturday, so we will have athletes competing both days. This year it is hosted by St. Ambrose University and it is shaping up to have some excellent competition. It looks like Olivet University should be favorites going into the meet as they won the conference last year on both sides. Although we are still limited on the sprints and field events side of things, I am excited to watch our athletes try and break their own personal marks."

"I hope that we can bring home some All-Conference performances as well. This will be the first time Governors State has ever had throwing event athletes competing in the conference. Clark Fremouw and Oluwatosin King will be the first throwers to compete for GSU at conference. We are also going to be featuring our first ever heptathlon athlete, Sean O'Brien, competing. Overall, I am looking forward to some strong performances in the conference and I know that our athletes will deliver," said Coach Niendorf.
