Samuel Rocio - Daniel Zavala - Qualify For NAIA Nationals November 21, Tallahassee, Florida

Update from Tallahassee, Florida - (November 21) - Daniel Zavala finished 140th and Samuel Rocio finished 235 at Nationals.

Samuel Rocio - Daniel Zavala - Qualify For NAIA Nationals November 21, Tallahassee, FloridaGovState Head Cross Country Coach John Niendorf on his two men's NAIA Nationals Qualifiers, Daniel Zavala, Samuel (Sam) Rocio:

"I am so happy for Daniel and Sam qualifying for Nationals again. Sam finished 4th and Daniel finished 5th at conference, earning them the 2nd and 3rd best finish respectively in GSU cross country history. Those two worked incredibly hard all year and are great people to be around. They earned their right to go to Tallahassee, and I have loved coaching them this season."

"Overall, I was happy with the way the guys competed this season. We put three runners in the top 8 at conference. I think we need our depth to step up a bit next year if we are going to go Nationals as a team. They put in a lot of good work all season, but we need to put it together a bit more at conference next year I think," said Coach Niendorf.
